You can know someone your whole life, or their whole life, and spend a fair bit of your own thinking about your childhood, your brothers and sisters, and especially your parents, and reach a point where everything seems more or less clear. Then, one day you are involved in a Family Constellation ...
That's what happened to me, during my training with Yildiz at familyconstellations.com.au in and at the ANZCI Aotearoa New Zealand Constellations Immersion, in April, which was effectively another whole set of trainings. Aspects of my family of origin came out of hiding in plain sight, dropping straight into my consciousness. Or became embodied.

These unexpected gifts carry some painful cargo, but more than that, bring with them deeper and richer understanding of the relational life I've lead within my own family. It's never too late for that. There's always more to learn, more to understand, much deeper places to go.
Anyone seeing the photo above, will see three very different creatures, though we all have the 'same' parents. I treat the word same like that because no kid has the same parents as another, in reality. What happened after that photo was taken, where did we go, what did we do, how did we feel about our childhoods? All differently. All probably mistaken about each other. But still in communication and relation to each other, and younger siblings. Still family. Still bound by the love that flows through families. This last is one of the fundamental tenets of Family Constellations, as Bert Hellinger developed and described the modality. Even in really messy families.
In future, I won't be so surprised by the fact of more revelations, more pennies dropping; that I will undoubtedly see through the lense of Family Constellations. I want to share my own experience as examples of the possibilites , and that as a practioner, I willingly and neccessarily walk into the 'knowing field' of Family Constellations. I'm not divulging the details, of my new information about me or my family for obvious reasons, I can say the precision is remarkable, amazing and true.
Also at the ANZCI five day intensive, I had many opportunities of being in the circle - do not think of that as an observation post, but a deeply involved, indeed, rivetting position. There were also frequent opportunites to Facilitate and Represent. Being a Representative is a dynamic, fully engaging, very close feel of the energy and process. In fact, there is not a moment wasted or casual, or unimportant for the duration of a workshop for any of the people present.
If you or someone you know is ready to do some work, get in touch, register for one of the three workshops I am offering in the next quarter - 08 June, 13, July or 17 August, all Saturdays, all in Napier. Alternatively, make a private Zoom appointment. There are highly effective adaptations of the method for one to one work.
